I can slap this thing together in minutes even in blowing wind. Not only is that amazing, but this thing is bullet proof so it holds up to me cramming it into such a small space over and over even when I missed a twig stuck on the bottom. I pack the whole tent into a SIDE POUCH on my backpack the size of a Nalgene bottle. I have a 3 person (or 2 person and 1 dog) tent that weights about the same as your 2 person tent. Anecdotally, I've found that when a tent gets into the 6+ person range, the more expensive ones are much easier to put up than the sub-$100 ones.įor me, my $275 Marmot Limelight 3P was worth it because:
